Hello!

I’m Courtney Curtis, a Los Angeles based filmmaker with expertise in assistant directing and production management!

I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but later moved to Orlando, Florida to pursue my higher education at the University of Central Florida. While in Orlando, I started my professional career within the film industry and graduated from UCF with a bachelor’s degree in film studies and a creative writing minor.

My experiences throughout college guided me towards discovering my passion for assistant directing and production management. It’s within these roles, that my workplace strengths; consistent and open communication, utmost organization & time management skills, combine perfectly with my personal strengths; valuing kindness and other peoples time, maintaining composure during times of high stress, & passion for the creative vision.

But besides my strengths alining with those of the role, the most important thing I have found is that assistant directing and production management positions not only bring me joy, but also a sense of fulfillment.

Due to this passion, and a childhood dream to “make movies” in Hollywood, I moved to Los Angeles, California in June of 2023. Los Angeles is where I still call home today, & is where I continue to work on a variety of feature/short films, music videos, television series, concerts, and award shows/events, for notable platforms such as; Netflix, Hulu, MTV, Paramount, etc.
